Bend Map – (Central Oregon)

Bend or Farewell Bend (as it was once known) is where I live and work. Since the early 1980’s, after the lumber mill which was once here started to slow down, Bend has grown to be one of the hot travel destinations in Oregon with all kinds of things to offer.

The name Farewell Bend came from early pioneers to refer to the location along the Deschutes River. As mentioned Bend was once a small logging community, but now is has become now the largest city in Central Oregon with a population well over 60,000.

Bend’s economy has been focused on providing services to the many tourists that travel here from all over the country. But this is recently changing and more and more medium size businesses choose to relocate here.
