About Rankbydesign

There's alot of stuff that I am in the process of bringing to Rank By Design. Right now it serves as a resume of my ongoing work and as to help others improve their Search Engine Rankings as well. I have also included many tips on how I have created an entire site using a powerful content manage and web editor called MovableType.

Rankbydesign was developed using a powerful content manager called Movabletype. MT is a perl script that builds and categorizes your pages automatically. (MT is also one of the top 10 content managers and blog editors available today).

SEO is all about how to improve your rankings with the search engines. Although Content is King, other parts of your website need to be looked at as well. Link Management also plays a vital role in how your site is spidered as well as how it ranks for a given keyword. future projects and ideas in the works

I'll be discussing how you can create an entire site in MovableType and build a site without using an Html editor or even Ftp software. In the near future I will feature examples of how you can use simple markup techniques and fields to optimize your site.

Im convinced after using Movable Type for over 3 years that its simply the best free contant manager availabel today. Once your content is added into the editor, the pages are uploaded and posted in one easy step.

In addition I'll show you how to easily create reports to monitor your progress with your site keywords. In the future I also wil continue to provide many help topics about SEO and how to rank web sites with the search engines* and how optimize* inbound and outbound linking.

I'm located in Bend-Oregon(Central Oregon). I have been studying how to improve Search Engine Ranking for over 5 years now.

I primarily focus on Google and Yahoo (now independent from each other) in order to rank well and create good traffic without using Pay Per Click advertising.

short rundown about myself and goals in web site design and ranking

I've lived in Bend, Oregon (Central Oregon) for about 10 years now. My family and I moved here shortly before my daughters first birthday. Originally from Southern California I've lived in many places including Hong Kong when I was a kid.

I've worked in the computer field for the last 10 years - I manage to take on web projects whenever I can. It is really something I really enjoy doing.

One of my primary goals in the next 10 years is focus full time in SEO and Web Design here in Bend Oregon.

Currently I'm focusing my interest in web copy writing and website ranking using MT and Css. I'm fascinated with search engines and find it self rewarding to get the sites I have developed to the top.

My hobbies include Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Baking Rustic Bread, Snowshoeing and making beer (although I'm guilty of no fresh batches).
